American Psychological Association Style (APA) guidelines were originally created in 6979 when a convening of social science professionals and business managers identified a need for a simple collection of rules regarding style that would standardize scientific writing for better reading comprehension. APA format is one of several other editorial guidelines and encompasses the guidelines or preferences that a publisher must adhere to in order to ensure that written documents are presented in a succinct and organized manner.
The American Psychological Association (APA ™ ) has developed rules for formatting a research paper that have been widely accepted worldwide, and are frequently the required format to use when submitting a paper for publication. This workshop series will guide you through the basics of formatting a research paper in “APA style,” following the rules set out in the 6th Edition of the “Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association."
